Not sure if this place is well known but it has been there for years... the Ulu Yam Mee in PJ: Tua Huat Ulu Yam Mee. It's on the same row as the famous Nanking Court Vegetarian restaurant in SS2. |
Go there, makan apa lagi.. of coz the pork ribs yam mee lor.. the tauke also recommended their fried tong fun. Not bad not bad.. If you don't know what's yam mee; it's basically homemade noodles cooked with thick yam based gravy. Yes, the thick gravy you see is actually yam.
The medium claypot is at RM15 while the fried tong fun costs RM5.

Unfortunately, they will be closed until 21st May for renovation works.. so u'll have to wait 'til then lar... hahaha

Celebrated Mother's Day the other day at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company @ The Curve. I didn't expect it to be so packed though... |
Aside from the nice deco, there were small little details which caught my attention:
1. They provide toilet roll, in a bucket, on the table
2. Waiters actually walk around to observe the red/blue metal tag instead of waving customers

Hmm... personally, the food was just so soo.. not much of a variety and everything is deep fried. And the menu is toooooo "shrimpy"! Everything's shrimp.. jelak punya leh...

It has been a while since I feel like changing my beloved Dopod D810. Well, iPhone did lure my senses for a while but it didn't have what I want. But... BUT.. HTC Touch Diamond...damn you people at HTC.. why do you want to make poor people like me crave soooo badly for something which he can't afford??
Feast your eyes with the item on the top of my wish list (excluding iPhone v2.0 which we're not sure how good it will be.. =P) |
Since I have more than a month to save for this baby, which will come in mid June, I might as well start up a donation drive.. some help please peeps? Hahaha.. I accept both cash or cheque.

Happeee Mother's Day!! Another back dated post, Penang Cravings @ Atria Shopping Centre. If you're wondering where Atria is, it's a rundown shopping centre at Damansara Jaya.. very near to KDU and SMKDJ. Don't play play, its one of the pioneer shopping centres in PJ. Who doesn't know about Parkson @ Atria before One Utama was built =P |
Despite it being "yet another penang food place"... you'll be surprised to see the crowd here on weekends. Seeing people crowd to a restaurant in a rundown place would eventually mean.. they serve good food!

All the mains we ordered was great! They do have ala carte penang food like asam laksa, penang har mee and such as well. And the desserts... ahhh...

Back in the college days, I think we've came here before but I don't quite remember how it tastes like. Since I was around the area the other day, I revisited the place for their famous chili panmee. Finding it wasn't easy for me though.. hahaha

1 word: SPICY. But nice lar.. just that RM5 for a bowl of dried panmee (which is of a small portion) is a bit pricy ler... But who's complaining? This place is jam packed.. haha
Don't ask me how to get there, I only know its at Jalan Dewan Sultan Sulaiman and the rest was by looking at my GPS navigation.
